E3:21 Age Well Development Director VISTA
Age Well Arrowhead is a nonprofit in Duluth, MN that promotes wellness and independence for low income older adults allowing them to age well at home. The VISTA member will be part of the Age Well Arrowhead team and play an integral part in service delivery expansion by evaluating current programs and creating new processes and services that support the organization’s mission. Age Well Arrowhead embraces new technologies and approaches to reaching low income older adults and developing partnerships that support growth and the VISTA member will be key to designing and implementing novel and sustainable solutions. This includes collaboration with state and regional organizations to identify best practices for supporting low income senior’s ability to age in place.The Development Director VISTA will review program delivery models and implement systems to increase program efficiency and develop new programs and services for delivery to serve more low income vulnerable older adults. The Development Director position includes developing a fundraising program as part of an organizational sustainability plan and other activities including grant writing and external communications. Candidates should be excited to serve in a growing organization, demonstrate patience and understanding when working with the aging population, and display strong self-motivated to bring new solutions to our community. VISTA member will be part of the Ecolibrium3 AmeriCorps VISTA cohort serving in northeastern Minnesota. Although each member is serving in a unique position,all cohort members will participate in VISTA specific activities such as regular cohort meetings, collaborative projects, professional development opportunities, and trainings. Additionally, cohort members will jointly complete one community service project of their cooperative design.
|Member Duties : Include: 1) Assess organizational processes of volunteer supported program delivery to identify and implement systems and supports to improve efficiency and effectiveness. 2) Create new business opportunities by developing programs and services for delivery and overseeing their development and implementation to serve more low-income older adults. 3) Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan to raise funds to support organizational sustainability and community reach. Duties include overseeing and managing fundraising efforts, building strong and successful relationships, maintaining communications with donors and patrons, and collaborating with staff to effectively execute fundraising events.|
